Spokane Kiwanis Charities is proud to announce the

Community Service Scholarships for $1500.

These scholarships are awarded to the student who best epitomizes the Kiwanis

mission of changing the world, one child and one community at a time.

Application Due Date: April 30, 2026

A. Eligibility Requirements

1. All applications must demonstrate a dedication to changing the world, one child and one community at a time through a history of school and/or community service.
2. An applicant must be one of the following:
   • a high school senior, graduate or GED recipient from a school residing within the Spokane County limits, or
   • a full-time student attending or planning to attend Community Colleges of Spokane, or
   • a past Kiwanis Scholarship recipient who now attends an accredited College or University.

B. Scholarship Award Requirements:

• The scholarships will be paid directly to the institution of attendance. If granted a scholarship award, student will be required to complete the Permission to Release Information form prior to the release of funds.
• Recipient will attend at least one lunch meeting with the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Spokane during each year of having received a scholarship.
• The recipient will submit two (2) letters of recommendation attesting to the applicant’s character and community service.
• Recipient will submit a copy of their high school, GED or college transcript.
• Applications and all supporting documents must be submitted by April 30, 2026.
• Applications, transcript and two letters of recommendation must be submitted online or postmarked by April 30, 2026, and mailed to:

If you are awarded a scholarship, a Permission to Release form will be sent to you to sign and return to Spokane Kiwanis Charities.
